The parrotlet is a big personality in the parrot body. Their bodies measure averagely five to six inches. Parrotlets will weigh on averagely 28 grams when they are hatched. They are domestic birds kept by a lot of people. People are making sure that they get the chance to own a parrot. These birds are very much friendly and can be trained for some purposes in the house.T Parrots are very sensitive birds that notice everything going on in the compound. Appetite for food helps the birds in maintaining their antique and playful nature. Parrots like cracking nuts for fun and also exercising their beaks which is for that purpose. Mature parrots feed less as they require little amount of energy as compared to the young parrotlets which require quite some energy for growth. An food that has very high amount of sugar content should not be given to the parrots. Avoid also food with high-fat content as a feed for your parrotlets.

Its good to always to attend to the pet birds. Parrotlets require very less attention by their owners as they are capable of playing by themselves. Fully grown parrots require around ten minutes attention from the owner for training. Make sure you put enough play materials in the cages of the parrotlets for them to use them when they want to play. These birds do well by themselves, and so they don’t need company. The only company the easily get to enjoy is that of their owners and company from other parrots. Parrot cages should be made far from disturbance of other pets.

Although they are friendly birds they can cause harm to anything that causes disturbance to them. Parrots are fearless and can be harmful to other pets if not well separated from each other. Little kids should be kept far from them to avoid disturbing them and getting injured. Parrotlets which have been fed by use of hand are very much gentle to everyone including the children.
